If you post a forum comment online, and the content of your message refers to a product or service (e.g., you want to gather interest in a "Girls Night Out" at a particular restaurant), you can link your message to the product or service in the Reviews area. This way, readers can visit the product or service reviews in the context of your message.
To link a forum message to a product or service:
* Click "Add a Link" when creating your comment.
* In the pop-up box, indicate the product or service that your comment mentions and click "Go."
* Click "Link to this" next to the listing to which you'd like to link your comment.
* You can link to additional listings if you like.
* Click "Post comment" when you're done.

Overview: Reviews
BigTent's Reviews feature is a fun way for your group to share resources and opinions about trusted products and services in your area. You can read what other group members have to say about a local restaurant or a popular book. You can voice your own opinion about a product or service or you can advertise your business to the group.
Please note that group leaders can enable or disable the entire Reviews feature. If the feature has been disabled, you won't see a "reviews" tab in your group.
Who can read Reviews?
All group members can read reviews of products and services posted to the BigTent group, provided the group's leaders have enabled the feature. To find reviews of products and services, go to my groups > [group name] > reviews. You can find a review or a product / service by searching by name or keyword and location, or browsing by category. You can also browse for categories that have had at least one review by a group member.
Who can post a Review?
All group members can post reviews in their BigTent group, however, some groups may choose to moderate posts to the Reviews area. Contact your group leader if you're having trouble posting a review.
Group members can share a review with the group to spread the word about a great product, or service, and can add listings for services like babysitters or plumbers. Members can also post listings of their own businesses to advertise to the group. Can I edit or delete a product or service listing?
A listing is the page with the business or product information, whereas "reviews" are the opinions and comments posted by your fellow group members. Listings contain objective information such as location and hours. Therefore, you may not be able to edit certain elements of a listing.
To edit a listing:
* Click on the listing.
* Click the "edit" link in the menu bar.
* Edit the information - please note that you will not be able to edit objective information (contact info, location, etc.) for listings provided by Amazon or Google.
* Click "Save."
NOTE: Group admins can edit all information in group-created listings and some information in Google or Amazon listings. Members who add listings can edit all the information only for those listings.
To delete a listing:
* Click on the listing.
* Click the "flag" box near the bottom of the listing. A red box will appear with moderator actions.
* Choose the groups from which you would like to remove the listing.
NOTE: Only group admins can delete listings, and can only delete listings that are group-created (not listings provided by Amazon or Google). If you're a group member and find a listing that is inappropriate, please check the "flag" box to submit your concern to an admin or moderator, who will be able to delete the listing.

How do I post a Review or advertise my own business with the group?
Before You Get Started
You will only be able to use the Reviews feature if your group's leaders have enabled it. Group leaders can enable the feature by going to manage > Reviews.
Jump Start Instructions
Post a Review of a product or service:
* Go to my groups > [group name] > reviews
* Enter product or business in the search area.
* Click on the desired listing. If it does not appear in the results, click "Add listing" to create a new listing, then continue with the steps below.
* Under "Write a Review," check the box of the group(s) with which you'd like to share your review.
* Enter your review in the box, choose a star rating, and click "Submit your Review."
Please note: Depending on your group's settings, your review or listing could be held for moderation by a group admin.

Searching for your desired product or service
Before you add your review, you'll need to first find the listing.
* At the top of the page, Enter the name of the product or business and the city, state, or zip. You can also use the drop-down to constrain results to just products or just services.
*If your desired product or service is listed, and has been reviewed by other members of your group(s), it will appear at the top of the results with the average star rating. If it hasn't been reviewed yet, but is listed, you'll see a prompt to "Write a Review."
*If you can't find your listing in the search results, click "Add a listing."
Adding a new listing
You'll want to add a new listing if you can't find your the product or service you wish to review in the search results, or if you want to add your own business for other group members to review.
* Click "Add a listing" (see above).
* Specify whether this listing is a service or a product. The fields will change to match your choice.
* Enter required information such as the category and location.
* Click "add more details..." to reveal more fields such as store hours and price range, and to add photos.
* For services, you can indicate if the business provides a group discount. If it is a member-owned business, start typing in the owner/member's name (or screenname if your group does not share names) and choose the member from the results that appear. If you are the business owner, enter your name.
* Depending on your group's settings, you may be able to decide if you'd like to share the listing with other groups.
* Add your review if desired.
